Rep. Pramila Jayapal, representing Washington's 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, has voiced her concerns and perspectives on several issues through a series of tweets. Her remarks address topics ranging from government accountability to constitutional rights and economic competition.

On February 8, 2025, Rep. Jayapal expressed her dissatisfaction with the current state of governance under former President Trump. She stated, "Is this a government working for the American people? No." She criticized "a group of unelected billionaires" for undermining benefits, compromising personal information, and dismantling essential programs. However, she affirmed that Democrats are committed to resisting these actions.

Later that day, she acknowledged Washington state's efforts against policies targeting birthright citizenship. In her tweet at 23:03:18 UTC, she wrote "Good. I’m glad to see WA leading the fight against Trump’s attacks on birthright citizenship — a constitutional right."

The following day on February 9, Rep. Jayapal highlighted the importance of competition and anti-trust enforcement in ensuring fair market practices. She credited @linamkhan and Democrats for prioritizing these issues which have resulted in lowered costs and increased wages among other benefits. Her tweet read "Competition is key and anti-trust enforcement is key to ensuring competition."
