Pramila Jayapal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 7th District, has taken to Twitter to share her views on various issues. Having served in Congress since 2017, Jayapal uses social media to communicate her perspectives on current political and economic matters.
On April 8, 2025, Jayapal posted a critique of the Pentagon’s financial management. "Absolutely not. The Pentagon just failed their SEVENTH AUDIT IN A ROW. Increasing their budget to $1 trillion is a complete nonstarter."
Later that day, she addressed former President Trump's priorities, stating that he is indifferent to the economic challenges facing Americans. "Trump doesn’t care that literally everything is getting more expensive or that your savings are being wiped out. He’s been too busy golfing."
In another tweet, Jayapal expressed concerns over the legislative maneuvers of some Republican Congress members concerning judicial oversight. "We don’t have kings in America. But Republicans in Congress want to rig the rules so Trump can go around the judiciary and do whatever he wants. My response? If you’re upset about judges blocking your orders, you should STOP DOING ILLEGAL STUFF."
