Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congress member representing Washington's 7th district, shared her thoughts on several topics through a series of tweets. These messages addressed immigration policies, tax filing assistance, and local culinary achievements.

On January 27, 2025, Rep. Jayapal expressed support for immigrants amidst federal deportation plans by the Trump administration. She emphasized that "Seattle and Washington State will always strive to be places where immigrants can feel safe and welcome."

Later the same day, she highlighted the expansion of IRS Direct File for the 2025 tax season. The tool now reaches millions across the country, including "920k Washington State residents." Rep. Jayapal noted that last year it helped 140,000 Americans file their taxes free of charge.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Jayapal congratulated Seattle chefs and restaurateurs recognized as semifinalists for the James Beard Award. She expressed gratitude for residing in a city with "a diverse and thriving food scene."
